Vitus looked down at the ruined body of the boy he'd talked to earlier. He'd been hesitant, shy, a bit sleepy and drunk. Maybe even flirtatious, probably operating on an assumption due to their shared friend. Now his lifeless eyes expelled their last tears, his skin already cold with no blood to warm it. A carcass; personality and hopes and dreams moments away from being lost forever. This ceremony was new to Vitus, it had been ages since he'd even seen a dead body. An... actually dead, non-moving one anyway.
    “A sheltered 'life,'” he thought, “hope you get the same my friend, but I wouldn't count on it.”
