Jack and Vitus drove to the far south end of Harlan, nearly to Parkville. It wasn't an area Jack was fond of, too close to his childhood town and all the accompanying memories. As the two vampires approached the low rent but rather busy club, Jack wondered if he should have been feeling nervous. Vitus seemed to notice.
     "Nothing to be concerned about. Unless you're not used to dealing with rowdy folks."
     "Man, I used to be the rowdiest of all. It's just... a little weird for me." Jack noticed the crowd hanging around looked like the types he'd buy from, or bum from.
     "Weird for you? Expect that forever."

     "Go pretty boy! Go!" the strange creature attached to his back kicked her feet like a child on a carousel. Her body was oddly light, and oddly cool so there was no mistaking her for human.
     "Gracie?" Jack said through a grimace as the strange people around cackled, "Uh-- we're supposed to talk? Want to dance or something?"
     "Wot d'ya think we're doin now? We talk later, now go go go! WHEE!"
