It was baffling how quickly Demetri had shuffled him off, sent out seeking another unknown position in the sprawling mansion. He hadn't yet worked his way into the prepared speech about his new found morals. “I will tell him the second he hints at what this is all about.”
It began to feel as though it really was just whim. There were so many attendants, and he'd been so casual.
